This program is designed to enhance law enforcement responses, targeted responses to sexual assault, coordinated community responses, enhanced prosecution responses, and improved judicial handling of cases. This program is designed to support the development and implementation of outreach strategies targeted at adult or youth victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking in underserved populations and to provide victim services to those victims. Applicants are encouraged to address stalking and propose projects in rural communities.

Legal Assistance for Victims (LAV) is designed to increase the availability of legal assistance to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking in matters related to or arising out of violence. The goal of this program is to develop innovative and collaborative projects that provide quality representation to victims.

This program’s goal is to implement innovative approaches for addressing the workforce and economic impacts on local communities impacted by opioid and substance use, including engaging with community partners. There is express language for legal services.
HHS – Specialized Services for Abused Parents and Their Children *Forecast* (2020)
This grant opportunity will fund demonstration projects to expand their capacity to prevent future domestic violence by addressing the needs of children exposed to family violence, domestic violence, or dating violence.
HHS – Older Americans Act Title VI Native American Programs (2019)
This opportunity promotes nutrition, supportive, and caregiver services to American Indians, Alaskan Natives, and Native Hawaiians. Legal aid organizations that provide legal assistance to older Native Americans are eligible to apply.
