BJA FY 2022 – Improving Adult and Juvenile Crisis Stabilization and Community Reentry Program

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) seeks applications for funding to state, local, and tribal governments, as well as community-based nonprofit organizations, to enhance or implement clinical services and other evidence-based responses to improve reentry, reduce recidivism, and address the treatment and recovery needs of people with mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders who are currently involved in the criminal justice system or were formerly involved. This program furthers the DOJ’s mission by reducing recidivism and building more effective treatment and recovery strategies.

The FY 2022 Improving Adult and Juvenile Crisis Stabilization and Community Reentry Grant Program is a new solicitation designed to implement programming and services in response to the Crisis Stabilization and Community Reentry Act of 2020. It includes two categories for funding:


Category 1: Adult and Juvenile Crisis Stabilization and Community Reentry Programs — State and Local Governments
Category 2: Adult and Juvenile Crisis Stabilization and Community Reentry Programs — Nonprofit Organizations and Tribal Governments
