HHS – Tribal Opioid Response (TOR) Grants *Forecast* (2020)
The Tribal Opioid Response (TOR) grant program “aims to address opioid crisis in tribal communities by increasing access to culturally appropriate and evidence-based treatment, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) using one of the three FDA-approved medications for the treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD). The intent is to reduce unmet treatment need and opioid overdose-related deaths through the provision of prevention, treatment and/or recovery activities for OUD.”

HHS – State Opioid Response (SOR) Grants *Forecast* (2020)
SOR “aims to address the opioid crisis by increasing access to medication-assisted treatment using three FDA approved medications for the treatment of opioid use disorder, reducing unmet treatment need, and reducing opioid overdose related deaths through the provision of prevention, treatment and recovery activities for opioid use disorder (OUD).”

HHS – RCORP Planning *Forecast* (2020)
The purpose of Rural Communities Opioid Response Program- Planning is to strengthen and expand the capacity of rural communities to engage high-risk populations and provide SUD/OUD prevention, treatment, and recovery services. The funds will support 18-months of planning activities, and the full $200,000 award amount will be provided at the beginning of the project period.

VA – Grant Per Diem (2020)
This program promotes the development and provision of supportive housing and/or supportive services with the goal of helping homeless veterans achieve residential stability, increase their skill levels and/or income, and obtain greater self-determination. Recipients must design supportive services, which can include legal assistance.

HUD – Fair Housing Enforcement (2019)
Under the Private Enforcement Initiative (PEI), non-profits are funded to investigate violations and obtain enforcements of rights under the Fair Housing Act or state and local laws, which often includes legal counseling and representation. Education about rights, investigating, and obtaining enforcement of rights are inherently legal in nature. This is the FY19 solicitation.

Under the Education and Outreach Initiative (EOI), legal aid organizations can develop educational advertising campaigns, develop and distribute materials, and conduct workshops, conferences, seminars, etc. to inform the public about their rights and responsibilities as it relates to the Fair Housing Act. Education about rights, investigating, and obtaining enforcement of rights are inherently legal in nature. This is the FY19 solicitation.

DOJ – Reduce DV, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault and Stalking on Campus (2020)
This program encourages a comprehensive coordinated community approach that enhances victim safety, provides services and support for victims, and supports efforts to hold offenders accountable. Legal aid is eligible to subgrant from institutions of higher education. Applicants are encouraged to partner with civil legal organizations.

DOJ – Sexual Assault Services Culturally Specific Program (2020)
The goal of the SAS Culturally Specific Program is create, maintain, and expand sustainable sexual assault services provided by culturally specific organizations, which are uniquely situated to respond to respond to the needs of sexual assault victims within culturally specific populations. Special consideration is given to projects in rural areas. Legal aid is an eligible applicant and to subgrant.
